Long-Range Binoculars
Long-range binoculars can be incredibly powerful and yield an impressive view from far away. With superior optics and quality construction, all of Bushnell’s high-quality long-range binoculars offer worthwhile features for hunters, nature-observers and enthusiasts alike.
The biggest challenge with deciding which magnification you want for your long-range binoculars starts with how experienced you are with using them. As the magnification on your binoculars (or any lens) increases, the viewfinder zeroes in more intently. In doing so, it becomes increasingly sensitive to each movement and touch of your hand. The slightest movement can make it nearly impossible to retain focus on your target.
A good range for balancing purpose with visual clarity for long-range binoculars is between 12x and 15x magnification. At this range, you will likely need to use both hands when holding onto the body to stabilize your hands for viewing.
One of the best long-range binoculars on the market is Bushnell’s Forge 15x56 binoculars. Both the 15x magnification and the large, 56mm objective lens produce incredible visibility at hundreds of yards away. It gathers light well, maintaining the sharpness and accuracy of the image in the viewfinder. PC-3 Phase Coating has been applied to the interior prisms of the binoculars, which helps to further increase resolution and contrast for better visibility.
There are more selective instances where you would use long-range binoculars. Hobby, nature observation, and long-range hunting and shooting are the most common, but all at incredible distances. Target shooters often turn to long-range binoculars to better acquire targets and mark shots, although spotting scopes are also commonly used.
Bushnell’s history of superior optics stems from our focus on constantly improving both the interior and exterior of our products.
On the exterior, some of our top features include EXO barrier protection, which repels water, dust, debris and oil, which can all damage the lens, permanently. We also include a protective waterproof coating, which is good for battling challenging weather patterns or unexpected rains.
On the interior of our products, we include a dielectric prism coating to help brighten images and ED Prime Glass, a standard in most of our higher-end optic products.
