Binoculars with ED Prime Glass

Bushnell’s highest quality and top-rated binoculars feature ED Prime Glass, a uniquely superior lens glass that produces sharp images with vivid detail and clarity. You’ll never miss any details with our leading optics gear.

This glass is a standard feature of the superior binocular sets, along with low-light performance, waterproof construction, high magnification and larger objective lens.

ED Prime Glass has been specifically constructed for four purposes.

It enhances the color of the image, allowing you to more accurately distinguish between a camouflaged animal and its environment. The glass produces a sharp and clear resolution and maintains stark contrast in the viewfinder, which makes it easier to detect movement or animals in the brush or birds in the sky. When other lens types would no longer function in low-light conditions, ED Prime Glass retains visibility.

Superior optics with ED Prime are ideal for both hunting and observational use. The best visibility possible makes a huge difference in identifying moving animals, as well as those who camouflage into their surroundings and animals that are smaller and harder to spot with the naked eye.

Most of Bushnell’s optics come with ED Prime Glass. The Engage EDX 10x42 Binoculars use the superior glass, as do many of our other top-rated binoculars.

This technology is often paired with the EXO Barrier protection, which is a powerful lens coating that repels substances like water, dust, debris and oil. Between ED Prime Glass and EXO Barrier protection, our optics are excellent for outdoor use in all kinds of weather, terrain and environments.

The Prime and Engage collections of optics typically include ED Prime as a standard feature.

This same ED Prime Glass is also used for many of the scopes and rangefinders in Bushnell’s optics products. The versatility of the glass demonstrates its superior nature since it can be used in a variety of optics.
